1. Fidel Castro. Putting him on the top 10 is ridiculous for a lot of reasons. He overthrew a dictatorship far worse then him, he has made Cuba a much better country, and since he was in power, life expectancy in Cuba has increased and is slightly higher then America. Although Teodoro Nguema also overthrew a dictator (his uncle) who was far worse than him, Nguema has not helped his country at all. Yes he executed people who disagreed with him, but so has every bad dictator.

2. Omar al-Bashir being ranked only 7th. He is the only dictator alive that is responsible for hundreds of thousands of murders (not deaths like from disease or famine, but murders) and that has ordered a official genocide. You don’t even mention that he killed 200,000 to 400,000 people in Darfur. With the exception of this list, he is literary in almost everyone else’s top 3 worst living dictators.

3. Than Shwe is a little to high ranked. The highest Than Shwe should be ranked is 4th after kim jong il, Mugabe, and Bashir. The entry on Shwe is the tamest on the list after Castro. Just from reading the entry, he doesn’t really seem that bad for a dictator. It seems like the only thing that makes him 2nd place in because of the child soldiers but it was like that before he was in power also, just not as bad. You don’t really explain why he is so high on the list And he never killed Aung San Suu Kyi, so that shouldn’t even be mentioned. You don’t even mention that what made his regime stand out from other dictators during his time in power was his use of forced labor.

4. Islam Karimov not being on the list. His regime is known for torturing people more than any other current dictatorship. Name one other dictator in power that has ordered people to be boiled alive. He also ordered the massacre of hundreds, if not thousands of people in the Andijan Massacre. He also orders doctors to remove the uterus of women without them knowing. He uses millions of children that are forced to plant and harvest cotton for him under humane conditions and his people live without electricity and he imprisons and often tortures anyone that he considers to be a “terrorist’. And those people aren’t terrorist, but anyone who disagrees with him The only countries that rival his human right abuses are North Korea, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Burma.
