The reason he is so “hateful, is the fact that despite the negligible difference to health benefits jewish people still do this abomination as a “blood pact” with god.. This IS the 21st century right? Please forgive him as he’s not hateful.. He’s passoinate. Besides.. The CDC says there is no benefit.. Most of the men of adolescent age and above are not circumscised and i being circed did NOT circ my son.. He’s 4 going on 5 and he has had 0 problems.. Furthermore if someone tells him he’s not normal. I’m going to instruct him to say ” i may not be normal in your eyes, but my mother loved me enough to not let someone butcher my dick.” ask yourself: “why did my parents do this to me.” it seems pretty arbitrary.. I they really wanted to help you they should have removed your spleen, your gall bladder, your appendix and maybe your belly button.. All of these you can live without.. AND god knows an appendix could burst and a bellybutton is just unsightly. Ask questions. Don’t accept pat answers. Oh yeah.. Bump.

Interesting article, however there is one error, bushido did not exist as a real system before the 1800s, it was based on what Edo Poets wanted to be nostalgic about after the Meiji restoration. The seppuku however is accurate except perhaps the favorite meal.

This seems kind of like a subtly Asian-phobic/xenophobic article. 8/10 of the examples given are about East Asia. There are DEFINITELY other examples of bizarre traditions, all over the world, not exclusively from East Asia.
