If a person of another religion lives his/her life faithful to their God, I don't believe they'll go to hell for that. In the Bible it does say that the Word of the Lord will be interpreted in many ways, so.... yeah. Scientists discovered this when they were looking back to figure out where the sun will be in a certain amount of time. There is a story in the Bible (Joshua, Chapter 4, I think) where a man asks God not to let the day end until Israel defeats their enemy. The day wound up being "about a whole day".
