i have an odd phobia that not many know about. it is carpophobia, the fear of wrists. people with this are scared of touching, looking at, or even talking about wrists.

I fear bears. Not just a normal fear but a totally irrational fear. I live in the city, and tried to walk in the river valley park – but got so scared that a bear was going to attack me I cried, and ran out of there. My husband was speechless. I have had this fear since I was a child. I used to sleepwalk (as a child) and stand at the window and cry – pointing to a bear (invisible) saying it was going to kill me. Nothing else really scares me…..and I am pretty normal – but bears freak me out. It’s okay if they are in a cage at the zoo – I mean my heart beats pretty fast, and I get all clammy and short of breath – but I don’t cry. Just when I am in the woods (or a park or really anywhere there are trees) I get so scared that a big bear is going to come and get me.

I had the experienced coulrophobia once when i was 8 years old. Although, i don’t exactly remember any of the personal bad experience before it but as i was reading the articles i remembered that i had a dream that night in which a clown was continuesly starring at me which made me threathened and woke me up. But then i was afraid to sleep again because i thought it would come again in my dream and threaten me again. But it was in dream not i was scared of clown when i went to circus… It was only dream where he threatened me once.

I have the same exact fear. I always freak out whenever I am around taxidermy. I’ve actually had full blown panic attacks

I have the same fear of public kpeasing that you do. I had thought it was dimish as I grew older, but it doesn’t seem to have done so. As for fear of flying, I’ve never had that. I’ve been on some rickety old pieces of crap that just happened to have wings, and I have felt nervous about the condition of the planes at times, but I have never thought of the danger as being any different than riding in a ragedy old schoolbus. I dont’ know why. Flying has simply never bothered me. Even helicopters don’t get to me. I flew in one over Niagra Falls. My wife refused to get in. Apparently she has a fear of heights, rather than flying, but the idea of being in a glass bubble up in the air was too much for her. I guess I can see that. Other than public kpeasing, I can’t think of what phobias I have. I’m sure I have plenty. I just can’t seem to think of what they are.
