The post is good and you have briefly explained different martial arts. I feel that you have missed out the martial arts called “KALARI PAYATTU”, which is a great and old martial art from Kerala, India. It is said that an exponent in Kalaripayattu from Kerala trained Budhist Monks in China secretly to save them from the oppressive rulers which lead to a new style called Kungfu. Kungfu inspired a new martial arts as developed by the Japanese called Karate. So Kalari payattu is considered by many as the mother of martial arts…
