He cares about what he cares about, and the track record indicates that more than anything else, he’s an environmentalist. I suggest you read his Wikiquote page, but here’s a snippet:

He has a unique and bizarre job. The interesting thing is that he is not a cut-and-dried monarchist; here he is in 1969:

“It is a complete misconception to imagine that the monarchy exists in the interests of the monarch. It doesn’t. It exists in the interests of the people. If at any time any nation decides that the system is unacceptable, then it is up to them to change it.”

and that is perfectly right and true whether one is a monarchist or republican. It is a most democratic viewpoint. In the meantime, he has the job of Prince and is determined to enjoy it. Those of us who would rather dispense with royalty altogether would be better advised to be proposing a better new system, rather than bitching about the status quo.

And I am not convinced, no sir, that presidential or collective systems are actually a better solution than a figurehead monarchy. They are all appalling in different ways. It is a matter of finding the Least Crap governance structure and to be honest I think there are more worthwhile matters to attend to.

1- As cynic said in comment 101, this man is neither racist nor a bigot. Read the definitions of words before hurling them as insults. All you do is come across as hateful and overly-sensitive.

2- The man has a dry, dark sense of humor. Yes, not all these quotes are PC but they are funny! Lighten up and try not to take absolutely every word and gesture as a personal offense.

3- @Nat Turner (45): I know you are probably (hopefully) long gone but I just had to say: “white people are inherently evil”…. Really? I dont know whether to laugh or be very scared.

4- @clint (71): I watched the video you posted and it would have made me laugh at its mind-numbing stupidity but it was just so hateful that it wasnt even funny anymore. Here is a direct quote: “this disgusting, bucket of pus, this maggot ridden, Nazi piece of filth…” This is who you want giving you your “news”? He says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING other than bitch and yell about how much he hates the queen. The guy´s an ass and a prime example of why Americans have a horrible reputation abroad.

Someone suggested that the Royal Family should be stripped of their wealth and this be distributed to the masses all of whom are probably skint and only have £10 in their pocket. Yeh right what a great idea! Trouble is my friend you haven’t learnt the first rule of life. That after 12 months you’ll be back with just £10 in your pocket and the Royals (or anyone else who makes a conscious decision to work their butt off and better themselves) will be left holding the cake. Sad but true!
