Im looking for a film, i have no idea on the cast or the year or anything apart from this, its english, a chef is running his deceased mothers “health resort” serving bizarre fish based dishes, located away on an island visitors are more like tenants one of which does not or cannot go out in the daylight choosing to wear goggles, another curly haired redheaded man wears rupert the bear like trousers but in green, one appears to arrive on the island in a small rowing boat, a short haired woman who works her way into working in the kitchen and eventually revealing the deceased mothers secret to the son, of how underneath the health resort was where she basically sat and ate cake…?? Great kooky movie, just cannot for the life of me find it :> please help

Glad you at least mentioned La Grande Bouffe but I'm astonished you didn't include it. Yes, it's French and old-ish (1973), but it was a Big Deal when it came out, and food and feasting (well, orgy-ing too) are the film. Anyone who is halfway serious about films knows about it even if they haven't seen it. Also, I'd suggest Mystic Pizza, Fried Green Tomatoes and Diner as movies to some degree about food, in deceasing relevance.

I agree with you! I just recently saw this film and it was awesome!! It was about how food and love combine for amazing things! Not to mention Meryl Streep and an exceptional Julia Child!
