Some of these programs mentioned were good while others were seriously below par.

"The Dukes of Hazzard" degenerated into a simple minded farce (basically the same premise week after week) after the first season. Still, it did return to the rural based theme programs that were jettisoned by the major networks in 1971.

"The Hulk" went stale after the first two seasons, but was primarily successful...having a four and a half year run...because it did not feature a protagonist who ran around in an outlandish costume, and adopting the familiar mantle of "The Fugitive" always seems to help a series.

"Taxi" was a good show, one of my favorites from that time period. Perhaps "WGN America" should re-air it on their Sunday "Retro Night".

I've noted some comments about lesser known programs. Although "Automan" was a cheesy program, I did enjoy a few of its episodes. "Spenser For Hire" was another fave. Another notable show that had a very short run was a spy drama called "Masquerade", that starred Rod Taylor, a post-"BJ And The Bear" Greg Evigan and a pre-"Cheers" Kirstie Alley.
