deposition scenes from social network were excellent with the play between everyone in the room, as was the rest of that movie. apocalypse now, end scene with Col. Kurtz. Also with 12 Angry Men, we start by looking down on Lee J. Cobb in the beginning when he is firm on his preconceived notions that the kid is guilty, but when he puts them aside and begins to base the decision off of facts and logic, the camera begins to look up at him, the whole movie is brilliant and a much belated RIP to Sidney Lumet

2001 is the greatest editing sequence ever: The whole movie. It's almost as if reality is blurred with his editing - the monolith scene in the beginning has a sudden shot of it with the sun directly above it, which completely ruins the composition of the previous shot, with the sun at sunrise, and the next shot having the sun at around noon, even though it looks more like night time, considering the moon is clearly visible, and the moon doesn't really look accurate in relation to the sun's position anyway. All of that seems like an error, but it definitely was intentional. The sun isn't a science thing in 2001, it's a metaphorical thing, and so he can toy with our suspension of disbelief without us noticing, and at the same time, subconsciously reveal to us a thematic element of the entire movie.

What about Braveheart and Gladiator? The story, music, pace and time are huge. So many times the emotion of the music is overlooked. Great editing and great music score really stirs emotions.

Thanks for your post!
