I have had a dream within a dream before, but it was scary. I was dreaming that I was in my bed and some monster or killer was in my room but I couldn't move. I knew it was a dream but I couldn't make myself wake up from the dream. I was saying please let me wake up, I can't wake up, I need to wake up! I finally woke up with a huge jerk and some sound, not a scream but like a HUH! sound. It was so scary. It's a recurring dream I usually have when I feel stuck in some way in my waking life. I usually have the falling dream when I fall asleep as a passenger in a car for some odd reason. I have only had it in my bed a couple of times and one of those times I nearly fell out of my bed when I woke up, I was laying right at the edge, so I guess part of me felt the empty space I was lying partially over. Dreaming is just one of the many things our bodies do that we don't understand.

#44. Thank you! I've always wondered why I had such an enormous jerk in my bed after having a dream about falling. Strangely enough, I only felt it once, and haven't felt it since.

That part about not being able to tell if someone is asleep or awake is complete BS. People who are asleep and not having an exciting dream will (unconsciously, of course) breath at a slightly uneven rate. Assuming they don't know this bit of knowledge, faking sleep in a way which is realistic is tough to do.

Fact number ten is just so weird. The backs of my knees must know something I don't.

Fact fourteen has me reconsidering the use of my alarm clock.

I am probably one of many illustrating fact number twenty.

for number 12. The 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill off Alaska, the Challenger space shuttle disaster and the Chernobyl nuclear accident have all been attributed to human errors in which sleep-deprivation played a role.

last time i checked captain joseph hazlewood who was the captain of the exxon valdez was guilty of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and he had to do community service hours as part of his sentence.

The internet thing is so true. My sleep pattern is majorly messed up, and if i didn't have the internet it would be a different story :/
By the way it's ten to six in the morning and it isn't my bedtime yet

The “natural alarm clock” which enables some people to wake up more or less when they want to is caused by a burst of the stress hormone adrenocorticotropin. Researchers say this reflects an unconscious anticipation of the stress of waking up.

Yeah anytime I have an alarm set I seem to wake up 5-10 minutes before it go's of
