Ok, I completely agree with everyone (including the guy who wrote the list) that T2 should be on here.
But easy way to fix the list-
1/ take out anything that isn’t a sequel – Batman begins goes but Darknight is back, and I would but in Batman returns over Darknight, as I think its a better sequel. Also temple of Doom goes, and we get to have crusade instead.
2/ take out anything that isn’t an original screenplay or proper adaptation, Chamber of secrets goes, I’m a huge harry potter fan, but I think Chamber of secrets isn’t as good as the first, as good as the book version, and the third part (prisoner of azkaban) is much better than it.
I know this puts Two towers in jeopardy (it would take alot of work to beat that book into a nine hour trilogy though so agrue away), but I think that the first and third parts were better, so i’m ok with losing it.
3/ I think we’ve missed some excellent films in this list which could replace what goes out. A sequel should either continue the story or expand on it, give the characters a bigger challenge, and correct the mistakes of previous films.
Lethal Weapon 2, brilliant sequel, still with insane hardcore Riggs, continued the story, cleared up riggs’ backstory and the best ‘take the piss out of racists’ scene of all time
i’ll take (106) jesse james’ tack and throw out some which i think haven’t been mentioned before
-Rocky 2 or 4 I know, its not an Oscar winning screen play, but winning the belt, practically winning the cold war? whats not to love? bigger faster harder.
-Jewel of the Nile, sequel to romancing the stone, more adventure, better destinations, better quips and Michael douglas’ coolest character.
-Crocodile dundee 2, so much cooler than the first one, proper story line, and fantastic action.
-Desperado ( I completely agree with once upon a time in mexico, so it has to be here ) it is just a fantastic sequel

4/This one is just for me – Mighty Ducks 2, they become world champions, Emilio Esteves, I love Ice Hockey
everyone has a movie that only they like, that everyone else justs makes fun of, if your favourites a sequal what is it?

lord of the rings the two towers isn’t really a sequel. the lord of the rings is simply one story that is so long that it has to be split into three parts.

EVIL II is everything the original was, times a million. THE ‘S REJECTS was a masterpiece. THE DARK KNIGHT was kinda crappy.
