I don’t get your reasoning for putting Batman Begins on here. Different director, different Batman. It’s a re-boot that began its own franchise.

The beauty of Aliens was in not trying to re-capture what made the first one so great. However, it’s a much shallower, not as complete film. The first film is still art.

Godfather 2 “much” better than the original? I don’t think it’s a point worth debating actually because I see them as one movie but the first one is pretty brilliant.

I’m surprised you have Temple of Doom so high up. And Two Towers I’m even more surprised by. I liked them both but Top 5? For that matter, I wouldn’t put Aliens in the top 5 either because it’s so overblown but it’s very popular I know.

Temple of Doom is mt least favourite of the original trilogy. You spend the whole movie wishing Kate Capshaw would just shut the F&%* up! As for the Two Towers, while it is an integral part of the overall story, the yammering on by the GD trees makes you want to take a chainsaw to them. Painful to watch, even worse to read.

Sorry, but I’m afraid you have made a mistake. “The Temple of Doom” was utter, utter rubbish from beginning to end. I found it painful to watch. To have this on a list of sequels which has excluded such movies as mentioned by the others, shows you must have had a temporary mental aberration. Hope you’re feeling better now.
