I was fond of some of the simplier toys, those high compression super balls (a few of my "exploded" while throwing them down on the hard pavement) and the parachute men we would get from the store and use a sling shot to launch them instead of throwing them.

The toys I fondly remember are Bop-A-Bear, Rock em Sock em Robots and all the Batman and Green Hornet paraphernalia. Also of note are the Thingmaker sets where plastic insects could be manufactured through hotplates and "goop". And, of course, the Frustration Ball, perhaps the 60s equivalent of the Rubik's Cube. A friend of mine trying to work the little ball into the plastic cups became so frustrated that he actually broke the damn thing by flinging it against a concrete wall. Ah, the memories this list brings back..!

@california red:

I was a girl, and I played with all of the stuff on this list. I also have a little bro, and Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and building blocks were staples at our house-in fact, they're still hanging out in our attic! Our building blocks were painted wooden blocks, and I remember liking how they smelled (the woody smell, not the paint).
