If so, then the Lion King has no place on this list as it was a movie (cartoon) first. The movie came out in the early 90s and the musical was developed and released on Broadway in the late 90s. I was living in NY when they musical opened and it was insane. You couldn’t get tickets for the first year as they sold out in record time.. for the entire year!

Your inclusion of RHPS brings back awesome college memories! Thanks for including it. My freshman year I spent many a Friday or Saturday night with my smuggled in bottle of whatever and the Sweet Transvestite. I was a Time Warp pro! Great list!
