I personally prefer the zooey deschanel and leon redbone rendition of “baby it’s cold outside”

Love ella to death, she is amazing with jazz, but zoey’s voice fits the song beautifully.

Ooh, that Bowie/Crosby song. What a pretty picture and song. Bowie nearly of the dope and booze and Crosby dying some days later. Should have been number 1! Great list though.

I like Bing and Bowie as well. Didn’t they sing do you hear what i hear on that show too? Or did Bing just sing it on the show.

I remember bowie saying something to Bing about listening to the older artists like the Beatles. Bing said you go back that far (something like that)on the video.

Cool list, I’ll have to listen to them when I get home.
That David Bowie duet with Bing Crosby..I remember seeing on a TV in a department store when I was young (not when it first came out or anything this was in the early 90’s). It was the first time I saw David Bowie (I knew who he was because my mom listened to him but I had never seen what he looked like). I remember LOVING the way they did the song and I was totally entranced.
To this day I am a big David Bowie fan and that memory of seeing him on TV for the first time has never left my mind!

#8, The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl would be my number 1.

Interestingly, I only recently found out that Shane MacGowan was born in England and only spent a brief period of his childhood in Ireland. He’s a great character; one of the few that live his excessive lifestyle and manage to reach middle-age (unlike, for example, the great Brendan Behan).
