@Shell (99):I been reading your comments on the Aaliyah plane accident and i have to say that i disagree with you. Just go to YouTube and type in Aaliyah E! True Hollywood Story part 6 and they will tell you that Aaliyah and her crew did not know anything of the plane being overweight because they said it themselves. They also kept quiet about it and didn’t say anything to cause alarm or panic. Especially since it was a short flight from Abaco to Miami. I think Aaliyah and her crew (except the pilot) didn’t know the aircraft was probably that much overweight. If they knew then i know for sure they wouldn’t risk their lives on taking a chance like that. Plus, do you think if Aaliyah and the rest of her crew would have gotten on that plane if they knew about the pilot’s background? I think not! Remember, the pilot was not authorized to fly under any circumstances what so ever. So i know for sure if they knew the pilot had drugs and alcohol in his system then they would have asked for a different pilot or took another flight back home. Cause i sure as hell wouldn’t get on any airplane if i knew the pilot flying it had alcohol or drugs in his system. Smh!

Buddy Clark was a singer for Benny Goodman, later struck out on his own, and became a star recording for Columbia. He was killed in a Cessna “Bobcat” crash in downtown LA on Oct. 2, 1949 at age 38.

Hey people, wake up. Pilot error is the number one cause of aircraft accidents, Duh! All the facts in the world about how all these accidents occurred add up to one thing, “the devil is in the details!” Fact is, pilot error and “weather” are the main reasons for aircraft accidents. But hey, talk on, you might get it right oneday, after all, none of them are around to set the record right anymore. But, I’m sure they are glad you care.

I work with the drummer for buddy holly and he said they all drew straws that day to see who would ride the bud or who would fly. He drew the straw for the bus.

well think about it aaliyah died at the age of 20 and im starting to think air travel isnt the best way to get around. i think they should just drive. thats kind of safer

As it stands, waylon jennings was supposed to have been on the plane crash of the big bopper, but gave his seat to buddy holley because buddy wasnt feeling well that night and waylon traveled by the tour bus instead…..

There’s also the planes crashes that killed Brazilian Rock Band “Mamonas Assassinas” (Assissin Castors in English) back in 1996 and, though not a band, the Munich air disaster that killed most of the Manchester United Football Team… sad events
