All these books are great and could realy give you a fresh perspective. But I personally think that these self-help books are next to useless for practical use.
The ability to make money in a sustainable way and get rich comes from a solid foundation in knowledge and education. It will take more than a self help book alone to change someones perspective AND ingrain them with all the knowledge and experience necessary to truely strike any big success, as many of these books preach. This is especially true when the reader is suffering through a mid-life crisis, as is usualy the case.
Face it, anyone who intentionally goes out to buy one of these books, beyond curiosity, is not going get much help (or nowhere near what the books claim).
Furthermore, the wealth and success documented in these books can not be realistically attained by the average reader due to the fact that the authors are usualy successfull businesmen that gained their wealth through genuine hard work and education, not self help books!

I realize this is a late comment but I just came across this list today. Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a scam. It is a book written by a person whose sole intention is to be able to charge large amounts of money for speaking fees around the world. His advice is misleading at best, and outright lies at the worst. Some of his advice is actually a felony here in the US. At one point he advocates insider trading. His past has likely been embellished as attempts to substantiate some of his claims of his upbringing and the amount of wealth he has built as a direct result of real estate investing have produced nothing. Do yourself a favor and do not follow anything Kiyosaki says as being gospel for real estate investing.
