Effing propaganda. Most of the atrocities commited hundreds of years ago were not down to the specific religion, more to the stupidity of humans at the time, I don't think we've gotten any smarter, just better at justifying barbaric actions. To judge an entire religion on a handful of extremists is plain ignorant. Like saying all Germans are Nazis, all Americans are trigger happy rednecks, and all British drink tea and say "Tally ho old chap!" alot. Open your eyes silly billy's. Not only Scientology but the regular mom&pop Catholic Christian missionary employ equivalent techniques to convert non-christians in India. I know that by personal experience. I was 6 & my father used to work out of town. Christian missionaries descended on our house for 4 weeks using every trick in the book to make us convert to Christianity. Money, blackmail (something might happen to my father), abuse of Hinduism. Finally, when they told my mom that they were going to sing in Lord's name, she had it. She said that she was ready to pick up the bible and learn it if the Sisters picked up Bhagavat Gita and learnt it. We never saw the 2 ladies and the 3 gentlemen again. I know of at least 10 other folks in my school then & later who were subjected to similar tactics. I am not a scientology fan - far from it.
