THANK YOU. I juuuust posted a comment, furious at the disservice this man has done to Fulci. The Gates Of Hell is not just my favourite zombie movie, but my favourite film of all time.

I still would put Romero on there – He never uses the word “zombie”, but he knows theyre zombies. If the weird teleporting zombies of “Gates” count, his zombies surely do. It’s practically a cliche to never use the word “zombie” in a zombie movie. Zombi 2 was an (unofficial) sequel to “Dawn Of The Dead”, even… Though I say “Day Of The Dead” beats “Dawn”, however.

A horrible list. Zombi 2 should have been #1, not a ‘bonus’… Fulci is the undisputed master of zombies. This movie needed more Italian zombie movies in general. In the late 70s/early 80s there was a huge boom of zombie movies in Italy, and they are among the most gory (and often, the most beautiful) films in the genre. And “Day of the Dead” is WAY better than “Dawn Of The Dead”. Also, no running zombie movies should have made this list. Heresy.

unbelievable. how can dawn of the dead be # 1?!!!
it doesn’t have the feel of a true zombie movie in it! where can u find a zombie that runs? or can think? and then the survivors is in a mall where they can have all their needs? THERE’S NO THRILL!!
