You really think Belfast Child is good to listen to in the mornings? Really? Perhaps if you're feeling suicidal and need encouragement.
Whenever I used to make a mix tape, or a mix CD, I'd try to not put more than one song per artist on, even if I really liked them. I think it would have been a good idea to follow that rule for this list, given the vast, vast number of possibilities there were.

Too bad it never caught on big in the States.

Simple Minds was far too overrated even though I liked “Don’t You Forget About Me”. That song was offered to Bryan Ferry, but he turned it down.

Level 42′s “Something About You” was a pretty good tune.

Unfortunately a number of the songs on this list sucked. Then again, I prefer the music of the sixties. IMHO, the best time for rock and roll was 1965-1972.
