Forrest Gump is the movie I would select if I was stranded on a deserted island for the next five years and I had a "god like" power to view and power my projector. This movie was much more than just an interesting tale of a below average, in intelligence, character. Forrest Gump was a true historical journey.
The real life individuals portrayed in the movie included Elvis Presley, Paul Bear Bryant, President's John F. Kennedy & Lyndon Baines Johnson. All of these individuals encompassed an era of time that revolutionized this country...I watch this movie about three times a year and never tire of seeing it again. The music, the humor, the vietnam war, the acting, the drama, the surprises.. all make this movie the best picture ever made...Lastly, what movie would you select if it were you stranded on that deserted island?

Star Wars hands down. Everyone talks about "adjusted to inflation" but if you adjust to POPULATION, there were half as many people around when Star Wars came out as during Titanic, thus it is reasonable to assume that it would be the highest grossing of all time.

I can't decide between Black Hawk Down and Dog Soldiers, both are great action films, both have my favourite thing in a movie, last stand (and both have a final stand), both portray the soldier on the battlefield and you can feel the charachters. I am leaning a little to Black Hawk Down, since its final stand scene, of the Delta snipers, Shuggart and Gordon defending the crash site and wounded Durant, is real and it is the only scene in any movie that makes me sad. Durant grabbing the picture of his girl in the sand is also touching. Dog Soldiers final stand is a little different, as Sarge, who is already begining his transformation, sacrifices himself by blowing the house up with the werewolves litteraly by him. The music, his last look at the picture of his wife and the yell right before hitting the button, acompanied by blood pouring from his mouth and already werewolf eyes is trully badass.
