Classic morals? What classic morals? The film is self-serving, gratituous in its portrayal of ***** and violence, inaccurate and only reinforces stereotypes of other cultures in the ancient world, most of which have been disproven. Please, don’t even get me started on the accents and the wigs. The only reason one should see the film is to garner an understanding of what the ancient world was not.

Two movies that come to mind would be Payback with Mel Gibson and The Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie. The first time I saw these movies I thought "Why have I never heard of this?"
