Griffith. Influencial for its usage of the “Montage” sequences, Real Ammunition was used during the battle scenes, the reenactment of the assassination of President Lincoln. Its length (2 Hours and 55 Minutes, for that time was unheard of). The unrest of blacks with both slavery and the KKK (Griffith was a pure racist himself). Griffith also virtually taught the basic grammars of filmaking. It is considered to be the first bonafide full-length motion picture. This movie is of great historic value.

Everything about the film is superb; the acting, the direction, the screenplay, the score, the cinematography. The first time I saw it, I knew I'd seen the best film I would ever see and had to immediately see it again.

If I were to name the film that got the biggest emotional reaction out of me, I would say The Bridges of Madison County. The first time I saw it, I became so emotionally engulfed in Meryl Streep's heartwrenching performance and the beautiful and tragic love story that Eastwood pulled me into, that I sobbed like someone in my family had died and was pretty much wrecked for the rest of the week.
