jeannie saffon (spontaneous human combustion) looks like she might have passed out and landed in the fireplace right there by her head. Then the wick effect took place. Since most of these people were older, perhaps it was extreme menopausal hot flashes. hmmmm….

Just a note to the proponents of both evolution and “intelligent” design – the basis of scientific theory postulates that a certain hypothesis can never be fully proven. All evidence that verfies said hypothesis only supports the theory. All it takes is one result to disprove a theory, however.

That being said, evolution has managed to last for over a century and a half largely because the predictions it makes and evidence generated are in agreement with the theory. Please keep in mind that nowhere in the theory of evolution does it propose an origin of life.

I have always wondered about the assertations of evangelists where they believe that evolution, fossils, etc. are all part of God’s design and as such should be disbelieved. It strikes me as ironically amusing that (assuming it is all God’s design) he would go to all that trouble to make evolution, for example, work so logically and coherently while intending that it should be disregarded. For that matter – why would science exist if it were all bunk?

After all, it seems God is far less interested in what you believe about the origins of life than he is about how you live the one you’ve been given. I would imagine he would be pleased with people who devote their lives to increasing knowledge and understanding. And in that I would be in complete agreement.

Danni, I explained it in another unsolved mysteries list describing it…I can’t remember the the list title but the first item was regarding placebos.

In short, December 21, 2012 is true, however the hype regarding the doomsday is false. That is the date in which the three Mayan calendars all “end.” I put that in quotations because according to the Mayan calendars, this age ended in 1987 and we are currently in the apocalypse (the literal translation is ‘dark period’ merely a time to reflect on the past age). December 22 marks the beginning of the new age, predicted to be one of ‘great enlightenment.’

Paraphrasing here. I wrote a bit more in that other list whereever it is…

I’m not crazy. This is merely what was taught in my Pre-Columbian cultures class.

Actually,if you ask me 2012 is just to scare us. There have been predictions like that many times in the past. Anyway, why would something like that happen, is there an explanation for it? No, there is not. So, if 2012 is an accurate prediction then why is there no logical explaination for it? And why have there been inaccurate predictions, too?

ok nobody yell at me its my opinon. i believe god maybe does exsist or soemthing like him but i believe he isn’t what everyone makes him out to be. I also believe he didn’t create this world. I do not believe noahs ark is real. None of these truely freak me out, they could all i suppose have plasable answers somewhere…
Now 2012 that scares me not the fact of it happeneing but the point of whats happening before it…and people not believeing it.
You want to be freaked out read up on skinwalkers and spring heeled jack.
