I really appreciate your list. I found it a couple years ago and came back searching for it again since I couldn’t remember much of it. I’ve had a few of the more common ones, especially when I was younger and even to the point of knowing street directions on my first visit to Indianapolis but having to turn change the radio station because the song didn’t mesh with the familiarity. The next station was playing The Doors and when it came on then I knew where to go.

Something that’s happened to me and is probably one of these is when you see someone at their work every day but when you see them out of work you don’t recognize them. The hair, face, make-up, all is the same. The clothes don’t necessarily have to be different, but it’s the change in situation, location, or attire that makes them completely unfamiliar; or as though you met them at a party years ago and forgot them until this moment.
