No god. men made god. thats why theres 500 dlfferent ''gods''. its a shame wars are fought over fantasies and ideas created to hold people in check. i laugh at the 7 days of creation than wonder why god forgot the dinosaurs. if there was a god he would show himself and make godly demands. not hide and have faith b.s. cuz that is what gods do. they demand things and scare u with there power. at least thats what we made up years ago. so, yeah, theres no god. deal with it.

I apologise for arriving so late to the party. It took awhile to catch up on so many interesting posts, both for an against.

There are to groups of people who believe in Jesus Christ-
Christians and dead atheists.

I refer you to the Apollo Astronauts who flew to the moon as scientists, pragmatists and logical thinkers but returned as God fearing believers in the Supreme Creator.

I guess if you test any scientific theory to its ultimate conclusion, well then you will find G..

Considering I haven’t seen God, I can’t ultimately say for sure, but I have to agree with Bertrand Russell by saying that it’s easier to say that something doesn’t exist until it can be seen and verified for sure, or at least that it’s nonsensical to expect others to not doubt something that cannot be seen simply because it couldn’t be proven false.

I don’t completely dismiss the idea of a creator in any sense, whether it be an omnipotent being or aliens or whatever have you, but my answer is leaning far more toward, “No, probably not,” either way.

I’m disappointed that you started out making ‘logical’ deductions, and then introduced the fact that you BELIEVE in god. That was introduced, as you said, NOT to be safe, but because you BELIEVE. There is no logical deduction there.

Also, the statement that god makes changes is not a logical deduction from either of the above.

And that’s the problem… in order to say that there is a god, all logic must be thrown out. For him to exist, he must defy logic.

So the summation of your reply is… if we don’t yet understand it, then it must be god. Like our cave dwelling ancestors once assumed of lightning strikes, and other forces of nature that they didn’t yet understand.

No matter how you try to answer this question it comes down to the same as you telling me you can fly. Until you can PROVE it, I will continue to assume that you cannot.

God, like the fountain of youth, is something some people would like to exist, yet wishing strongly does not make it so. And until proof is furnished, we can only assume that those yet to be answered questions, will in time, be demonstrated to be a non-supernatural part of this universe.

im not sure what to beleive i was always told to trust no one so im not sure whether to beleive the bible or not. i mean really. some of it makes sense to me but other parts make me feel like theyre trying to tell me: 2+2=fish. can somone please help me. i just want to know. im on the fence. i dont know who i can trust.

Does god exist? No with one, rather large, caveat. Think of it this way in the physical universe we have something called entropy, that at some point comes to a point of no return. On the other hand there is the theory of Gibbs Free Energy, that states that extra energy is created and not lost to entropy, and yes I know that energy can’t be created or destroyed it just changes form. Now because “god” doesn’t exist in a physical form we must understand that it, god, must be a single, or combination of, basic forces in the universe.

Oh, surely God exists, but the problem is man doesn’t matter to Him because what we say as God is a mathematical abstraction or equation, not an old man with a white beard. Gods and religions are as the remakes of Hollywood: different versions of the same story.
