Subway also got prime placement in "Lethal Weapon 2", when Mel Gibson, Danny Glover & Joe Pesci grabbed some sandwiches to go. Pesci had a 5 minute tirade about how "they f*** you at the drive thru!!"
Oh and I can never forget K-Mart's unfortunate spot in "Rain Man" when Dustin Hoffman stated, "K-Mart sucks." I'm pretty sure their financial failings started then and there.

haha reverendbenzo, I've never seen such blatantly placed products in the first 5 minutes of a film than I, Robot. Guy gets woken up by his JVC alarm radio, puts on his fresh pair of Converse's then jumps into his Audi while passing advertisement boards for another 5 or 6 companies.

Actually the reason for Taco Bell is simpler than you might think. A good portion of Demoliton Man's scenes were filmed around locations that were supposed to be futuristic looking. The Balboa Insurance Office Park Building just south of the John Wayne Airport in Orange County on Michelson Drive was chosen for the scenes where the museum was located. The corporate headquarters for YUM Brands is directly across from there along the 405 in that same neighborhood. The restaurant scene takes place within the executive dining room located in the corporate headquarters building. If you look closely you will see that there is mexican food, it's just been foofified up to the level of a high-class restaurant, hence the valet parking, piano-playing lounge singer crooning old commercial jingles (fun fact: the guy singing/playing piano was John Cortese who went on to Melrose Place), and the metal plate of miniature tacos and burritoes placed in front of John Spartan with the guacamole, bean, corn, and salsa toppings on top of extremely small tortillas accented by the sauce squiggles. Anyone who's ever eaten at an expensive restaurant will recognize this motif.
