It comes across as wholly ignorant whenever someone says that a person “invented” a type of math, math is the language of the universe which we discovered, made use of and are still discovering, that’s like saying the first person that looked up at the Sun “invented it.” Man invented religion as a way of seeking to understand things that the primitive mind couldn’t hope to comprehend, which then was used as a tool of power and control that millions of fools still follow to their death. Also, nowhere in the Mayan calendar does it say anything about the “end of the human life cycle.” Get your facts straight. 2012 is the end of the 13th bak’tun, a period of 144,000 days, which had 12 before it and, lo and behold, has a 14th that begins after it! *Gasp*…

The Great Pyramids always have amazed me. The fact that they have uniform water decay on them shows that they were at one point, submerged in water, and if that is the case, then they date back to 10,500 BC when there was water in the Egyptian valley. That means everything we know, or thought we knew about man’s history on this planet is wrong.

You are completely wrong ..the Mayan’s did NOT predict the end of human life, their calendar only went as far as they could see ahead,.
2012 was the time of the new calendar NOT the end of the world, its the change over from one astrological point being the “Age of Pisces” to the next being the “Age of Aquarius”.
The Mayan’s also had Calendars from the “Age of Aries”.
This is not new knowledge, yet people are misreading it and instead of taking it as a calendar that ends in time to start a new one (as do all calendars) instead you are making out it is the end of the world.
The Mayans did not date calendars from one year to the next but from one “AGE” to the next !!!
