Maybe I'm just offended because I'm a sensitive American, but the US' inclusion is filled with some disappointing errors and bias. So, congratulations. You just managed to make one of the largest and most stable democracies in history look like a third world hellhole because you thought controversy would generate interest. Skewed facts, political bias (fear the evil right-wing radicals, ignore the fact that radical left-wing groups lke the ALF pose just as great a risk, as do ethnic gangs – no, it’s all right wingers), outdated information, irrelevant information, and numbers played with to make things look worse than they really are – you can’t compare how many people get shot in one country to how many get shot in a country with a much greater population.

Maybe I’m just offended because I’m a sensitive American, but the US’ inclusion is filled with some disappointing errors and bias.

I know one of the most dangerous place you listed and i actually live in one of the cities mentioned in your article (Cali, Colombia) and what you said was very true for 1994, but right now we are in 2009, thats 15 years and i can assure you the statistics are way different. I wonder if the same is true for the rest of the destinations, other than anctartica maybe, i believe 15 years can turn a country around. Cheers!
