I would add Acre/Akko in Israel. The sea walls were amazing and you can have the most incredible lunch by the sea. It's a rather underrated place, most people zero in on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I would also add Bandung in Indonesia. If you go up the mountains it is beautiful and tranquil and you can enjoy lovely Indonesian food. My favourite place in Indonesia.

i dont live in either city, and ive been to both edmonton and calgary, and calgary by far, is the better city. its the hidden gem of the country. calgary is now becoming one of the most multicultural cities behind vancouver and toronto, whole quarters of the city are of different cultures. that was then, but i visited just this week and i saw so many cultures and food, etc.(and im a traveling architect from New York City). Theres barely any rednecks here anymore, thats just a rumour that spread, and theres nothign wrong with them too. Also, the people are some of the most friendly ive seen. When i went to edmonton just last week, the"AMAZING" mall was all run down and dirty, the parks were below average (AND NOT THE BIGGEST AND BEST BTW), just last year calgary was also reported as canadas greenest city (not bad considering it never used to be) and the skyline and architecture is horrible. Calgary has over 30 proposed buildings and you should see the ones they have now! (very nice and modern.. check out The Bow skyscraper) if you look at population growth in both cities, youll see why calgarys inner city has more than 250,000 more people than in edmonton. its the fastest growing city in canada. there is so much more variety! i dont even live in either city but hearing what some of you people said angered me because its a fact that calgary was named one of the best places to visit and live. Nothing wrong with rednecks but edmonton had barely any multiculturalism when i was there Edmonton is reported to also have a much higher crime rate. Look at the statistics before you say anything! Theres been a huge improvement in the city and is much more beautiful with the scenery of the mountains and the new and improved downtown. compare http://www.wln.ualberta.ca/wlnconf06/images/Edmontonskyline2.JPG to http://www.worldarchitecturenews.com/news_images/1000%20Foster%20Calgary%20Bow.jpg. ..huge difference! Calgary has one of the greatest architecture booms internationally and the people are friendly! All sorts of research proves that calgary is superior! get all your facts straight!

Better than Dublin?? Haha, don't talk crap just because you stayed somewhere for a month or two. Belfast = dirty, ugly and very little atmosphere, apart from all the smicks in white tracksuits that is.

I have been to Tangier many times and its not for everyone. Its dirty, smelly and shabby, and far more Western than other parts of Morocco. On the plus side it has recently had a decent amount of money pumped into it and there are some great changes in the last 10 years. However, for those who want to visit Morocco, there are plenty of places to go before choosing Tangier i.e Fes, Agadir, Marrakech, Chefchaouen etc

I was SO HAPPY to find Belfast, Northern Ireland on your list!! I've been there 3 times, and lived there for a year and fully intend on moving back for good. Not only is it beautiful, but the people are simply fantastic. DEFINITELY underrated. In fact, I can't get it out of my head, so Ireland is what I write about (http://renarabold.wordpress.com/). Well done! :)
