Ulcers are created by Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria. Ulcers aren’t caused by food or stress.

Actually, Anne Frank was a young girl who is most recognized for her life hiding from Nazi’s, not that she was deaf or blind. I believe your referring to Helen Keller?

Oh thank heavens for the cracking knuckles being a myth. I have a terrible habit, and it never made sense to me anyway. I can now direct my Boss and my co worker to this page as I’m always copping grief and the line “it will cause arthritis.” Was surprised that anyone could actually believe number 4. We learnt that during ***** ed in Primary (or Elementary for Americans) school! And with the catch a cold myth, my High School Biology teacher slammed that, after laughing at some weirdo who told us this had left the room. As to the spicy food, I grew up eating chilli, maybe I’m immune by now but they never did me any harm.

One weird old wives’ tale I was told was, if you had an itchy foot you found your surroundings new and/or unusual. This is while you’re wearing shoes mind you.

Am a bit disappointed with the carrots being a myth, how am I going to get better eyesight now?! lol

You are crazy! Wet hair does NOT cause you to get sick. The simple fact is that you catch a cold by being exposed to a virus!!! In fact there are less viruses that can live in cold weather, they live in our warm, moist houses.
This myth especially bothers me, the reason we get sick more often in winter, with the colder weather is becauseout homes are closed up for the most part, and they are a great breeding ground for viruses. The more you get outside, the less likely you will be to be exposed to a cold virus!
