I don’t think there’s much Neurosis love in this thread though.

To anyone who hasn’t heard of the band… they have been releasing monumental albums for over 25 years now, founded the genre of post-metal, and are simply mindblowing in every aspect of music.

If you have a Led Zeppelin collection, listen to the song “Since I’ve Been Loving You” and pay attention to the lyrics. That should clarify my opinion.

1) You mentioned Heavy Metal, but you didn’t include any of these greats in the same sentence: Iron Maiden – they were part of a very influential group of British bands who came under the banner called the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (N.W.O.B.H.M) – these guys have influenced another one of the greats: Metallica – the biggest selling Heavy Metal that is currently going.
2) Kiss – Everybody from Nirvana to Van Halen owes these guys.
3) Led Zeppelin – Duh!
4) AC/DC – Need I go on?
