@ Ross. MY GOD, you are amazingly correct. He’s another one that I just look at him and I laugh my head off. Loved him in the movie “Its A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” when he’s riding that dilapidated bicycle and proceeds to rip that gas station apart with his bare hands because he’s so angry. When I was a child, Mr. Curly Howard was the man! making me laugh along with Larry and Moe, in my teenage years, Mr. Farley was the one making me laugh with his movies…now as an adult, I’ve come to discover that Gabriel Iglesias will become one of the greatest comedians of all time!!

Whoever wrote this article must be fired, so hard-working journalists who do their research can make the most of this valuable space. Lou Costello wasn’t the straight an of Abbott and Costello — rather it was Bud Abbott who was (quite famously) the straight man (and truly the best in the business) whereas Lou Costello, known for his falls, his prolonged stuttering, stammering takes (later cribbed by Shemp Howard and others) ranks among the great clowns of film history — ranking near to Charlie Chaplin at physical adeptness with a tragic air to his pitfalls echoing that Chaplinesque element (and it can be argued that Costello, both a boxer and a stunt man before becoming an actor, remains the undisputed kind of the pratfall.) But one thing Lou Costello was NOT was a straight man to “joking Abbott.” I’ll take this job anytime, or at least give it to somebody who has a breadth of experience or a willingness to Google a subject for five minutes. Also, Gabriel Eglasias but no Jackie Gleason? No Fatty Arbuckle?
