Definitively I recommend Machu Picchu, it is an incredible citadel build at the top of a granite mountain. The Incas, using ingenious engineering techniques, were able to transport heavy stone blocks up the mountainside, and once there, they used their excellent stonework skills to produce amazingly polished stones that fit together perfectly. Reached by hikers along the world-famous Inca Trail or via a spectacular railway journey, Machu Picchu has lost none of its mystery in the ninety years since its discovery. To see more about Machu Picchu you can visit the link

Good list and by keeping it down to a top 10 you have left a lot of room for discussion (and arguement!). You could easily find a top 10 for most countries, certainly Mexico (Mexico City, Guanajuato, Michoacan - all of it, Palenque, the Copper Canyon, Zacatecas, Guadalajara, Oaxaca... wow the list is endless).

The only thing I would have considered changing would be Bocas Del Toro, I thought it was paradise on earth... until I went to the San Blas Archipelago, for me it is just more beautiful, less visited and then you have the Kuna culture. Certainly Venezuela is due a mention for Los Roques, Angel Falls, Roraima. Colombia is a tough one as well, there is so much of interest there, be it one of the amazing cities like Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena, pre-columbian sites like San Agustin or Ciudad Perdida.

My advice to anyone is get out there, see the world for yourself and make your own lists, everyone's opinions differ so everyone will have a different outlook on the world, I personally couldn't stand Costa Rica so I made my way through it as quickly as possible, but I have a soft spot for Caracas where most people can't wait to get out of. Each to his own. Take care and enjoy your travels!!!

I CAN'T believe you did not include Venezuela at all.

I Have to admit I'm biased in terms of Venezuela being born and raised there. But How could you not include La Gran Sabana at least.

And that's excluding many other locations of magnificent magic and beauty. Like some one pointed out, some of this are just focal points or one day trips. But if you take a tour of all the gran sabana in Venezuela it'll take you days to visit and you would still miss some places.

Anyway, I agree on most of this places, but I would have also included the aztec ruins in Mexico.
