I think the guy in Tell-Tale Heart is crazy from jump, that’s why he becomes obsessed with the old man’s eye.

For me though, The Black Cat takes the cake. That story killled me when I first read it.

Read some of the works of one H.P. LOVECRAFT. Some of his stories make Edgar Allan Poe’s writings make it look like reading Winnie The Pooh.

I grew up reading Poe’s work and as a kid, I was stupid enough to read “”The Black Cat” which scared the you know what out of me. I always regarded his short story “The Gold Bug” as his masterpiece even though it was not a story of the gruesome and macabre. The one short story writer that really had me thinking was H.P. Lovecraft. That is some really weird stuff !!!!

Though not a “creepy” output by Poe, but I consider his story “The Gold Bug” as his masterpiece

Poe is an excellent narrator works are fascinating and you really know masterfully creates characters captivate the list of works are excellent although I would love to include the portrait oval but still all his works are wonderful !!!!!
