i i like the list but isnt tere more like foreign films e.t.c. i heard i believe somebody was making a film about syd barrett of pinkfloyd or there was a movie with a character based on him. does anybody know of movies that were long in development and writing but never got to the filming stage .

@conservative rob [99]: Actually, The Day the Clown Cried was near-finished. After principal photography was complete, Jerry edited it into a rudimetary "rough print" when he was not working on other projects, hosting the annual MD telethon, and performing in Vegas. However, it lacks a title credit sequence, music, and end credits. Due to the litigation between Jerry, the script's original writers, and the film studio, the film hasn't been released. Europa Studios has the majority of the film negative, but Jerry took the negatives from the film's finale and put it on his videocassette copy.

I’m surprised Bruce Lee’s “The Game of Death” didn’t make the list.

“The Day the Laughter Died” aka “The Day the Clown Cried” shouldn’t be on the list since it was finished. It just never got a wide release.

I always wanted Batman Triumphant to be made. It was to be Joel Shumacher’s attempt at a dark Batman movie, with Scarecrow resurrecting Joker, and an appearance from Harley Quinn, in this version Joker’s daughter.

Where is Jodorowski’s Dune ? Orson Welles, Jodorowski, Giger, Moebius, Magma, Pink Floyd, Dan O’Bannon, Chris Foss etc etc who worked on the same film and it isn’t on this list ?
