I feel that it should be avoided as much as possible and is cruel to do them for the sake of useless purposes.One should do them only for vital purposes that will affect technology or humanity!Also one should prefarebly do them on old and dying animals.

animal testing can be justified for certian purposes such as creating medicines that can save thousands of lives.One animal may die but several more live!

Definitively is a crime. All that think its good or necessary would must used in experimentation.

I,m sure for animals its better human being say goodbye.-And so for earth.

I think that animal testing is nessary currently but that scientfic improvements may in the future mean it isn’t nessary. I am an animal lover, but a human should come first. There should be no unnessary suffering and conditions should be suitable.

Fine, ok if you want humans to be tested then maybe you would’nt mind you being tested. or since you love animals sooo much then maybe you shouldnt let your new born baby get any medicine or shots and die, because news flash medicine is tested on animals. I am a mother and i rather a dog dying than my new born child.

TEST ON HUMANS NOT ANIMALS, THEY DONT DESERVE TO BE TRATED LIKE THAT, ITS BETER TO TEST ON HUMANS THAN ANIMALS, WHEN I SEE AN ANIMAL BEEING TESTED I CRY BUT WHEN ITS A HUMAN ITS HILARIOUS!!!!!! VIVISECTION IS ALSO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on finding a passion. Not everyone is lucky in that respect. However, zoology doesn’t completely address animal testing procedures, so based on your comments, I’m thinking it’s safe to assume you might have not a lot of experience with animal testing? Pain may not be avoided but it is kept to its most minimum. Rules and regulations are exhaustive and must be strictly followed. Everything is kept neat and orderly not only for the sake of the experiment results but also for the humane sake of the animals. Perhaps you weren’t aware of all of this. Although, as a zoologist, you should be aware that many advancements in nutritional, medical and general upkeep of your animals are also thanks in part to animal testing. Perhaps you were aware of this, perhaps not. I dunno…your comments are quite confusing.

However, dirty jobs exist and someone has to do them. Anthropomorphizing an animal to show human traits such as loyalty, love, bravery, etc. does nothing to help the dirty job of animal testing but is often used by those against the practice to paint researchers as cold and heartless. Far from the fact. The issue is that there is no viable alternative that we know of and you have not supplied one either.

I am wholeheartedly against animal testing. So would you be if you’d been to a certain hospital and seen the monstrous procedures that go on, not just rodents but dogs, cats, rabbits,monkeysetc.
As animals and the study of Zoology have been a passion for my entire life, i find it sad and disapointing that even if analgesia is used, animals rotated on a regular basis or strict guidelines are in place the saddest notion is that what quality of life do these creatures have?

Sadly humans are considered ‘The highest order’, most would benifit from watching so many species and if they dont see loyalty,love,bravery,joy and a great deal more, then why are they not culled as are many of our species.

I stumbled upon your sight whilst attempting to find out if PH neutral baby wipes would be ok to cleanse the spilt Biolac formula off my orphaned Brushtail Possum.

I’m very glad i did come accross you though as i have always used cosmetics, skincare and products that are cruelty free. I wont even let my husband use Gillette as they continue to perform The Draze Test. We do not eat pat’e du foi gra [forgive the spelling]. And every weekend we go driving in tasmania we join hands and say our animal prayer, “please prevent us from harming any creatures”.
