there are a few not mentioned on this list that was so much more horrible like the kidnapping of JunkoFuruta.
Look her up. Personally, it’s one of the most horrible kidnapping story i’ve heard. They did thing such as burning her eye lids with candle, inserting various object into her body. I’m cringing even thinking about it, and the worst part is that the guys that did this to her are free men right now

Is there any mentioning of the movie entitled “Sybil” starring Sally Fields and JoAnne Woodward which was a made for TV movie in the 1970′s about a real life case of a woman who had 16 different personalities because of her mother’s monstrous abuse ? By the way, I believe Fields won an Emmy for that performance

I also suggest Deliver Me From Evil by Alloma Gilbert and Child C by Christpher Spry, both horrifically abused by their foster mother. Perfect Victim by Christine McGuire also broke my heart and had my stomach in knots. But A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard is the one that brought me to tears, especially with the child’s innocence that she still has despite now being 31.

They are. Looks up Jaycee Dugard. You posted your comment in 2008, her seventeenth year of captivity. She was found August 2009, with two daughters, ages 11 & 15. She was 29.

To Light : I just went into the wikipedia to read about this girl Junko Furata and I must say that despite that I am quite a hard core guy when it comes to reading things like this and the movies of such macabre, this story is just MORE than the icing on the cake. I almost seems impossible that this poor girl had to spend the remaining days of her life that way. And the parents of these monsters wouldn’t help ??? I always considered the people of Japan do be docile individuals and maybe that would be stereotyping them. But these bastards should have been executed, dismembered and should have had the pieces of their corpses should have dissolved in a huge vat of hydrochloric acid. That is just unbelievable !!!

I would like permission from Listverse to quote from a book entitled “VideoHound’s Golden Movie Retriever”, 2008 edition in relationship to a movie that was made in 1993 about this particular genre of crime of the aforementioned Top Ten list above. There is a movie (a hard to find one, but one can watch on You Tube in its entirety) entitled “The Boys Of St. Vincent”. It is a Canadian Movie and rather lengthy and I will quote the synopsis of this movie from the book that I have mentioned : “Outstanding and Heartbreaking, story of *****ual abuse by Catholic Clergy that was inspired by actual events. Divided into two segments, the drama begins in 1975 with 10 year old Kevin Reevey (portrayed by actor Johnny Morina) living at the St. Vincent orphanage in an Eastern Canadian town. The orphanage is run by charismatic and terrifying Brother Lavin (portrayed by actor Henry Czerny) who it turns out has a special fondness for “his boy” Kevin. Nor is Brother Lavin alone – a fact eventually revealed by a police investigation, although the matter is hushed up by both the church and the government. Until 15 years later. In 1990, the case is reopened and Lavin, having married and fathered two sons, is returned to face charges. Now the young men must open wounds that have never truly healed and confront their tormentors in a court of law, amidst a blaze of publicity. Actor Czerny gives a truly inspired as the self-loathing monster. The emotional agony is excruciating to watch and be forewarned that the depiction of the *****ual abuse is unflinching.” Its a long movie at 3 hours and 6 minutes and when this book says that the movie is excruciating and unflinching to watch, THEY MEAN IT !! I watched it and I was horrified by it. Its a movie about little boys and Catholic Priests……go figure. It is also a movie that you will never ever forget until the day you die. At least with me, that is the case.
