I think that the series enjoyed by these readers, like food, depend much on taste. A great list which is only marred by not including the Thieves World series created by Robert Asprin.

I have the Simarilion, The Hobbit, and all three LotR books, second ever editions XD Their my most prized belongings :’) The LotR ones all have a separate map of Middle Earth inside them, but I just love how old and yellow they are! I also have really old copies of the Narnia series, don’t know the excact edition though.

I would have added, however, A Series Of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket. Really, one of my favourite series ever.
