Because it’s insulting. I admit, sometimes the trans community is a pain in the ass to appease, but using their preferred pro-nouns isn’t hard.

Some of these are inaccurate. Billy Tipton and Teena Brandon were no transvestites, but transgendered: Anne Bonny and some of the older ones can be argued, as they seemed to have done it for the rights. Billy and Teena may have been biologically and anatomically female, but their gender identity was male.
