You need to do another list with Nighmare Before Christmas, and maybe Goodbye Lenin, or The Hours (soundtrack by Philip Glass, the same who did Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi), and Gladiator... and very nice list again :D

Number 11: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (for the gauche in taste).
"Hedwig and the Angry Inch" is an indie film that won awards at Sundance for its music as is very good too.

If you're including film scores (and I wasn't sure if you were...), Star Wars, Gladiator and Indiana Jones are musts, considering (well, okay I consider them) to be pinnacle works of modern film soundtracks. Also Sprach Zarathustra, IMHO, doesn't really count as being such an innovation, since it wasn't written for a film (but I do agree that it was awesome!) Koyanisqasti (totally misspelled, I know, sorry) should be there as well.
And I agree with separating the lists... film scores and soundtracks are completely different, and should be treated as such.

1. Goodfellas
2. Mean Streets
3. the Graduate
4. This Is Spinal Tap
5. Pulp Fiction
6. Transpotting
7. Juno
8. Taxi Driver
9. Resevoir Dogs
10. Rushmore
(I decided to do my own list, seeing what a geek I am, and not wanting to explicitly criticize your list considering it is completely based on a single authors taste, and my own taste is NOT SUPERIOR TO ANYONE ELSES). Sorry about the capslock, I just wanted to stress that.

THE GRADUATE!!!!

Mean Streets or the Departed or just about anything by Scorsese.

How about Forrest Gump and Harold and Maude. Or Schindler's List, beautiful opening violin playing "Por Una Cabeza."

Boogie Nights. . .thank you!!!
Agree that O Brother Where Art Thou? should have been included; also Dazed and Confused. I'd like to add Lords of Dogtown.
