That doesn’t change the fact that he’s an amazing magician. He’s been on fire, he’s been run over by steamrollers, he’s been impaled by forklifts, cut in half, cut other people in half, escaped from a locked cage that was fully submerged in water, and just about everything else you can think of. Not to mention the “classic” tricks as well, putting two halfs of a paper back together, disappearing acts, etc.

Definitely my favourite illusionist/magician.

Ok first of all i said at the start of this list that some of the tricks are REAL and some of them are ILLUSION (yeah genius, the sawing in half is illusion) i thought the readers would like to figure this out for themselves, most people aren’t magicians ya know! you should of read the introduction before you hurried excitedly to badmouth my work dick

Secondly, when the hell did i say this list is about Chung Ling Soo?? oh i didn’t. Because this list isnt about chung ling soo. He’s my personal hero and Ive read several books on William Robinson (Chung ling soo) and i chose not to write too much about him because i figured i would just drone on and on, so i chose to keep it short and simple.

Thirdly, what facts are off in this list exactly? i actually am a magician and actually did research this list, and i also had some of my peers review it for any errors, so if there is any misinformation please feel free to point it out and i will correct it.

You don’t have to enjoy the list, if you hate it so much then feel free to write a better one. I for one would really like to see more lists about magic on this site.

I could easily explain how the sawing in half trick works in a number of ways, because there are a few ways to do it. Sometimes fake body parts are used, sometimes two people, sometimes false bottoms in a box or chest if one is being used. None of the ways that I know to do that trick involve ANY danger whatsoever…in fact, in the ways I know it is done, great lengths are gone to to insure a total lack of any injury. The trick is actually designed to be as SAFE as possible when it was already an illusion to begin with! Criss Angel's version of the trick is no different and posed no real danger or threat to anyone present, including the illusionist or the volunteer themselves… why would an intelligent person make a perfectly entertaining and non-dangerous trick into a dangerous trick with no need?

How such a simplistic trick made it on the same list as the Bullet Catch is beyond me.

Find the wiki on Chung Ling Soo and do some Google research, the information here is pretty off and not entirely accurate.

I hate to be the dickhead whiner in the comments but…this list is poorly written and poorly researched. Secondhand crap information gotten through hearsay or half-assed reading regurgitated into a crappy top ten list. I know I'm being rude but is doing a little bit of reading on what you're writing about that hard? A quick internet search will give you all the proper facts about Chung Ling Soo and a bit of book reading will tell you exactly how dangerous the sawing in half illusion ISN'T.

The video of the bullet one is no magic for sure. When he was speaking with bullet in his mouth @ 8:20 you can see that the bullet is the wrong way!! It should had been the pointy side inwards as it was “fired at him”. You understand what I am saying?
