I've read Geek Love, and We Need To Talk About Kevin was already on my list... Geek Love isn't so twisted in a gorish sense, but psychologically. The plot is practically schizophrenic in nature, the book itself is a disturbing Machiavellian mess.. but well written. Very well written.

Note : I am going to blog on a book here that is NON-fictional as opposed to a fictional novel. Please excuse my change of norm for this list here. Published and Released in 1974, written by author Piers Paul Reid, A Rugby Team from the Uruguayan College (Stella Maris College from Montevideo) along with other passengers boards onto a DC-10, Air Force Flight # 571 for a game against a Chilean team for a Rugby game. There are a total of 45 passengers including the Airline Crew. On October, (Friday) the 13th, 1972, the plane crashes in the Andes Mountains at an elevation of 13,800 ft. They had a transistor radio and heard after the 10th day that the search for them was called off. Now, what to do ? They are forced to cannibalize the corpses of people or the person who was sitting next to them from the same plane. Even some of those who were relatives. After 72 days and only 16 survivors remaining, they are rescued by helicopter. The name of the book ? "ALIVE". Just to make this short. It was an excellent, in detail, page-turner of a book. After I read the book, it was on my bedroom nightstand for 5 days. Everytime that I saw it, I was freaked out by it. On the 5th day after I finished reading it, the book made its way into the garbage can for the garbage people to pick it up because it was literally giving me nightmares. I won't go into detail, but I will say this. The corpses ? The 16 survivors ate EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. Nothing like a plate of human feces for breakfast to start off your day....Yeah, its that graphic !!!!

This list is fantastic, I've just finished Haunted and thought it was incredible, sickly enough it's now one of my favourites. I'm definitely going to give the others a go. I think I'll start with Glamorama.
Good summaries and reviews!
Thanks, NC.
