I'm pretty certain that the supposedly French dish of milt crepes has originated in Russia - savoury crepes (or blinis) are quite popular out there, for example with caviar, red or black, smoked salmon and yes, even soft roe, which they refrer to as sperm in this article.

Also, hearts are quite versatile things, I remember my Granny serving up chicken hearts soup quite regularly. You had to be quite careful when chewing them as it could splatter everywhere - a bit like a cherry tomato!

Yummi yumm yumm! :)))

Most of these dishes actually sound, and in my opinion, taste excellent! For example, bee larvae crips and spiced right and served with rice must be excellent...the ants probably taste as the acid that they contain, thus the 'sharp'taste..as for the sausage, my grandma makes sausage from pig intestines, that is the usual way people did this, there is nothing gross about it! :D The sperm or the cute animal I woulnd`t eat even if they payed me...but the brain..now that is delicious scrambled with eggs!

Cheers good people, and bon apetit! :))

I've had turkey heart before at Thanks giving (I ate it out of the pot we put it in with the broth when it was done) , very flavorful, but a little bit tough. Could go for numbers 2, 3, 9, and 10. I'd eat the pig rectum if I knew that all the poo was gone!

It grosses meat eaters out, too, you know. Except for the heart. In my area we fry up venison heart. Yummy, if a little chewy.

136. Acire: Goat fetuses don't sound too different from veal, the only difference being that for veal the calf is allowed to be born, but after being housed in hutches and specially fed, are slaughtered at about 8 weeks.
The advantage of such young meat is the tenderness, and the delicate taste.
