thanks for the great video and fabulous list.
October 21st, 2008 at 5:21 am
Wow. Well done. I loved the music. All of the videos picked really made the list cme alive and those animals definitely seemed very dangerous.
October 21st, 2008 at 5:27 am

October 21st, 2008 at 6:39 am
I’ve heard about all these animals and how deadly they are, but those accompanying videos, wow! Some pretty scary footage, quite graphic!
October 21st, 2008 at 7:07 am
Excellent job Paul. I’m happy to see Lv reach a broader audience. Keep up the good work!
Evil Women should get you some hits.
October 21st, 2008 at 8:40 am
I love lists like this! My only complaint is that there isn’t more information accompanying each video – otherwise 5 stars!
October 21st, 2008 at 10:09 am
I agree with segue.I like watching stuff like that.
October 21st, 2008 at 10:49 am
Great work, Paul. This videocast creeped me out! I was grossed out and I hadn’t even made it to the great white shark!
October 21st, 2008 at 10:50 am
THIS IS JUST PURE WICKEDNESS!
(It would really be great if you did a movies list man
)
October 21st, 2008 at 11:33 am
10. bigski: I agree with segue.I like watching stuff like that.
****
bigski, if you haven’t seen them already, please do yourself the favor of renting (or just buying!) both Planet Earth and Blue Planet. Be sure to get the originals with Sir David Attenborough doing the voice-over.
October 21st, 2008 at 11:41 am
segue, i could have added more information but some people on earlier videos were complaining that the video was too long, so i tried to shorten this one.
October 21st, 2008 at 11:49 am
I see, Paulb, I guess you can’t please everyone.
You did a great job anyway, as I said, so keep them coming.
October 21st, 2008 at 11:58 am
If anyone was wondering what that clip at 3:32 is, its a lady who just got her leg bitten off by a great white shark.
October 21st, 2008 at 12:48 pm
I can’t watch the vid, but I sure hope the Anopheles Mosquito is number 1.
October 21st, 2008 at 2:38 pm
My my, Paul you have been busy, haven’t you? Great job! (again!)
October 21st, 2008 at 8:01 pm
Very nice list. I love the Video casts
October 21st, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Wow some intense footage there.
I would have thought that either the Tiger or Bull shark would have rated on this list rather than the Great White…I realize that most people have the greatest fear of Great Whites, and due to the Jaws movies, the stigma surrounding them is so high, but the other two sharks are far more likely to attack humans and Bull Sharks are the only known shark capable of swimming in both salt and fresh water, which makes them a threat to many urban cities in some parts of the world.
There is also another type of jellyfish that is considered to be even more deadly and that is because it is so tiny that they are virtually unseen in the water by the human eye. I forget the species, but they are found in the northern coastal waters of Australia and there was a great documentary about them.
Hippos should also definitely be on this list.
Great list/videocast otherwise!
October 21st, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Is there any chance of some background on some of those clips? Did they survive, was there any permanent damage, what on earth were they doing in the first place?
To be honest, I just finished watching it and it creeped me out quite a bit. It would be nice to know if at least some of them ended happily!
October 21st, 2008 at 9:58 pm
What genius decided it’d be a good idea to allow a baby to crawl around next to a boody cobra?!
And – in the lion segment – was that a pack of lions eating a person? The image was a bit fuzzy..
October 21st, 2008 at 10:04 pm
That video freaked me out. I agree that hippos should be up there. But well dude.
October 21st, 2008 at 11:29 pm
Some of that footage reminded me of Faces of Death.
Another vote for the unfriendly hippo.
Polar Bear having a bloody battle/meal with the walrus was outrageous. Although I believe one of those big Walrus could handle a polar bear in the sea.
Good job Paul.
October 22nd, 2008 at 8:46 am
Tenebrae, yeah that was a bunch of lions eating a man. He was trying to get close to take a picture, then the lions started to maul him.
October 22nd, 2008 at 11:04 am
Yummy!
October 22nd, 2008 at 4:39 pm
What kind of list is this? Siberian tigers are CONSIDERABLY larger than African lions. wtf?
October 22nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
zxTIGERxz: It says tigers are larger than the lions in the clip I think. Something like “only eclipsed by the tiger in size”… I’m too lazy to replay it to verify 100% though.
October 22nd, 2008 at 5:06 pm
@ erin, so what? That still doesn’t answer the question of why Siberian tigers are not included on this list considering they are more dangerous than 1/4 of the animals on this list.
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:32 pm
zxTIGERxz: You should go read the original list and comments here http://listverse.com/nature/top-10-most-deadly-animals/
I can’t remember for sure, but I believe someone else there felt tigers should be on there.
October 22nd, 2008 at 7:20 pm
@ thanks, I didn’t see it though I could of missed it but while were at it why aren’t Grizzly bears on this list considering they kill far more humans than the Polar bear and I believe they are a great deal stronger.
October 22nd, 2008 at 9:50 pm
I don’t wish to hug a polar bear anymore. XD
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:05 am
YOU ROCK PAUL B!!! LOVE THE LIST! HORRIFYING!
October 23rd, 2008 at 11:04 am
I’d love to watch this, but I want to be able to sleep tonight.
October 23rd, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Horrible list. Sure I respect the effort that has been put into making this videolist, but first of all, the presenting skills are terrible. That aside the video is way to short to cover the background information that is needed for a decent list. I really hope you’ll make more videolists, but please, improve your script or presentation, because this is horrible to watch.
October 23rd, 2008 at 8:43 pm
I agree…that guy was quite annoying, I wish he would’ve been more serious
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:57 pm
I love elephants! They don’t fuck around..
Who would let their baby near a COBRA?! WTH?! =’(
I love how the box jellyfish was described as “salad-bowl sized”!! =D
October 24th, 2008 at 1:55 am
I actually found this list someone confusing. Is this meant to be a list of the most dangerous animals? Or the deadliest? There IS a difference, as some animals have a greater potential of killing you if they attack versus the ones you need to watch out for because they are far more aggressive and/or have a higher kill count? As someone who has worked at National Zoo for many years I have to tell you that the posters complaining about the Hippopotamus not being on the list are correct. I think you have your facts mixed between the Cape Buffalo and the Hippo. It is the Hippo that are second most responsible for wild life death in Africa. Cape Buffalo kill plenty of people it’s true, but generally in what they would consider self defense. Cape Buffalo are somewhat migratory as they have to find new sources of food to sustain large herds. Hippos however are very territorial and far more aggressive. Enter it’s territory at your own risk. In the water they capsize boats and attack with bone crushing bites, teeth that are large enough to impale a person and if that doesn’t finish the job they will drag you under and drown you. And you’re no safer on land as they can reach speeds up to 30-35mph most often knocking their enemies down and crushing them beneath their enormous weight. The basic effect is that of getting hit by a truck, then the truck sitting on you. The number one killer is the tsetse fly which spreads Trypanosomiasis (Sleeping Sickness) in, at times, epidemic proportions. Sleeping sickness is not as fatal as malaria so you’re right about the mosquito. But once again I have to ask are these the most dangerous or the most potentially deadly? Tigers are certainly dangerous, but since they themselves are endangered and very rare, Tiger attacks are very rare. Not as deadly as lions who have the higher human kill count, but surely more potentially dangerous. Or the Great White Shark, while very deadly, is not the most dangerous shark. That goes to the Oceanic Whitetip Shark, who has attacked more people than every other species combined. You have a higher percentage of being struck by lightning than having an actual great white attack you. For your top three, I have to agree with the Box Jelly Fish. They have the most potent toxin of any creature in the animal kingdom, and they are practically invisible. Doesn’t make me want to go swimming off Australia or Indonesia… Very high in the both the dangerous and deadly categories though. The “Asian Cobra” however does not really exist. Are you basically lumping every cobra in Asia together? Your right in that they don’t have the most deadly venom, that goes to the Sea Snake. There is though the King Cobra, which delivers in one bite more venom than any other snake. But they are extremely shy, and tend not to live near humans, so does that make them the most dangerous compared to the Indian Cobra which attacks far more people and causes more fatalities? There is a term called The Big Four which encompasses the four most deadly snakes responsible for nearly all the fatal deaths in India by snake bite, but only one of the four (the Indian Cobra) IS actually a cobra. The others are classified as Vipers. So I have to say, I thought it was an interesting list. It obviously made me think. But its purpose I think was a little muddled, and it’s fact checking was hardly accurate. And ONCE I would like to see the real most dangerous animal get it’s rightful spot on this list. Human Beings. The Most Dangerous and Deadly animal to ever grace this planet! Go Us!
October 24th, 2008 at 4:18 am
Ah, I must agree quite wholheartedly with ZenPoet. Very fascinating list, intriguing facts… But not presented clearly or with the most accuracy. And, as many have said beforehand, where is the hippo?
It always interests me, all these shows and documentaries I see nowadays about man-eating or deadly animals. With many, the simple fact is that it is the person involved, doing something stupid, that allowed for the situation in the first place. People just expect to be able to insert themselves into any animal’s natural territory, and not suffer any casualties in the process… I mean, seriously. You go on a safari and think it’s a good idea to creep up on a group of lions for a picture opportunity? You’d think logic would dictate otherwise. But, no.
And I agree wholeheartedly with the idea that humans are, by far, the most deadly animal. Think along the lines of “The Most Dangerous Game”. Always loved that story.
October 24th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
lol this is sad soda machiens kill more ppl then sharks do thanks for spreading more bullshit fear into ppl
go you
October 24th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
Hey: not me,
Thanks for spreading the stupid.
Go you!
October 24th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
that was a cool video. it is crazy seeing those elephants toss people around like they were ants
October 24th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
You guys keep forgetting i didn’t make the list, i just presented it. You people say the video’s too long, then when i shorten it you say its too short to present the information. If you guys really want a hr long presentation on dangerous animals there’s always animal planet or national geographic channel.
October 25th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
paulb: I think you did a awesome job paulb, you should keep doing more of these because they are very entertaining. The people who are saying it is not good are just being negative.
October 25th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
People, PaulB did not write the list; merely “illustrated” it as is were. This was a pre-exisisting list. Read the intro before you kill the messenger.
I, for one, thought this was very cool. I do like the longer videos. The people who think they are too long should do what most people do when they come across Randall’s comments, and skip it.
Teasin’ ya Randall!
October 27th, 2008 at 1:09 am
Is a good video but the list sucks. Is the more a list of “the classic animal that scareme more than the real dangerous monsters of the wild”.
Where is the hyppopotamus? (more deadly and dangerous than the Bofalo and the saltwater crocodile). The sea serpent is more poisonus than any other in the land. The Tsetse and her Trypanosomiasis (dengue/sleeping sickness) kills more people than the Anofeles an her malaria. The cow kill more cowboys in US than the white shark worldwide. And the human is an animal too, one that kill hundreds of thousands of animal an humans per week!! That sound dangerous and deadly to me.
If you wanna do this, choos a better list
October 27th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
nothing in this video was as offensive as the blatant disregard of the ferocity of the Biggus Dickus.
and Godzilla…
October 28th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
you #48, 49, 50: having trouble with short term memory?
October 28th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
segue (51) High 5 on that one!! It reminds me of “retarted.”
October 28th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
mmmmmmmmm retarted….wanna meet for dessert?
October 28th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
the deadliest animal on earth is not the mosquito, it is in fact, the human being. god damn, i hate people.
October 31st, 2008 at 12:07 am
its sad how right u r the human being has killed at least a googleplex amount of creatures since its appearance on earth and knocked out 200 species in the last 500 years…oo be ware they are all around u , like right behind u ….BOOOO
November 7th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Absoltuely rubbish. I enjoy this site, but this list has no reserach involved and is full of errors. The videos are amateurish, often repeating the same clip, and showing the wrong animal (such as showing Nile crocodiles instead of Saltwater crocodiles).
How can a frog with no method of injecting venom be a top 10 deadly animal? I’m sure you would be hard pressed to find a recorded fatality, despite its potent poison. Have you not heard of blue ring octupi, cone shells, stone fish, lion fish, sea snakes etc.
Brown bears are far more deadly than polar bears due to there proximity to people, and there are much more recorded fatalities.
Mosquitos do not kill people, the microbes they carry do.
I’m sure more people have died from dogs and farm animals than most of the beasts on this list.
Terrible. Do some research next time.
December 13th, 2008 at 4:10 am
Well Poonus actually the original list was made by Jfrater so… not me
January 7th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
First, the Hippo is responsible for more human deaths in Africa than the Cape Buffalo. I made a trip to Africa about 10 years ago and found this out. Locals are absolutely TERRIFIED of hippos. They call them ‘Big Punishers’ because of their ruthlessness. Its insane to leave this animal off the list.
Anon, are you the Zodiac killer?
Also, WTF is someone doing letting their baby crawl next to a freakin’ Cobra? That’s just bad parenting.
Cool fact: Daddy Long Legs spiders have the deadliest venom of any spider. However, since their mouths are so small they are unable to bite human flesh, hence making them harmless to humans. In fact, if I see one in my house, I let it alone as they are wonderful at killing any other bugs that are in the house, including other spiders.

i leran alot from the short video…and it help me improving more in my academics…:)
January 16th, 2009 at 5:27 am
OMG…i didn’t know that mosquito really the most dangerous animals in the world…;]..thanks to this video i learn alot of things…well… share this website to my fellow friends!!!…weeee…thanks alot guys!…. :]
`chum:]
January 28th, 2009 at 7:19 am
This video was very convincing and I have even greater respect for most of the animals shown. Those Damm mosquitos however, they are a creation of species that have no positive role in our environment. Fortunately the winged bat allows their population to decrease a small amount. It is said a bat will eat up to 1000 mosquitoes per night in the peak season. GOOD List. Thanks ListVerse!
January 31st, 2009 at 10:45 am
Ummm did he say “DEERS” ?
wtf.
learn to speak, you loser.
There’s no such thing as “deers.”
February 3rd, 2009 at 3:48 am
