I lOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Scarlett! My mum and dad recorded it when it first aired and had it on VHS. I love Gone with the Wind as much as my mum and she showed it to me. It’s one of my favourite movies, let alone sequels. The tape has since been screwed up, but it’s still a favourite. I wish they’d release it on blu-ray, because I would definitely buy it! You were right though, I hadn’t heard of most of these! (In fact, I haven’t seen most of the originals, so why should I know?)

Roger Ebert, hated, hated, hated Return to Oz. That was the day I quit taking his reviews as verbatim. Return to Oz knocked my socks off.

As far as forgotten sequels go, I guess I’m the only one on the planet that remembers “More America Graffiti” not a bad film, just the caliber of music did not even hold a candle to the first one. The was it’s biggest flaw.

The sequel to “A Christmas Story” is not “It Runs in the Family”.

It was “Ollie Hopnoodle’s Haven of Bliss”, made in 1988.

Return to OZ is a great film and is NOT a sequel. It is a film adaption of the book return to OZ and not supposed to follow Judy garland. He’ll, Dorothy is younger, the lion is, well, a lion.
If you haven’t seem it, checkbook out!

One of the worst sequels I have ever seen is Home Alone 4. If you can’t use the original cast, then don’t even bother, I say.

The Christmas Story sequal was rather funny .Not a classic, but not horrible either.

You should check out Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss, another Jean Shepherd story and sequel of sorts to A Christmas Story. Stars James B Sikking as the dad and a teen Jerry O’Connel as Ralph. It’s very good. Never saw the Grodin sequel.
