13 is by Danzig and is even credited in the video. It was one of the covers that John Cash did during the “American Recording” sessions with Def Jam’s Rick Rubin. Rubin invited Cash into his studio after Nashville all but forgot about Johnny’s life time work, and opened up all his catalogues and let him do what he felt like doing. They created a classic session where Johnny covered many contemporary artist it his own distinctive way. Most of the song that where covered have eclipsed the originals.

Some pretty good high-end cover bands you have here. I hate to rain on your parade but big productions can sometimes make the cover seem better than it really is. Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain – they’re incredible, and so overlooked. They’ve been around for ages and have done a huge diversity of incredibly witty ukelele covers, from the who to kate bush to talking heads and nirvana. Seriously listen to them, they’ll change your life (that might be an exaggeration, but they’re awesome).

Baked A la Ska are also great, but quite new – mix of ska covers (bowie – ska man, for example), and originals.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are awesome. I have all of their albums and play them often. We were also lucky enough to see them last year when they came to Perth, Australia. The whole pub went off!!

Oh, I see they aren't a cover band. *facepalm* But nonetheless this is a great cover song. I would go this far and say it's better than the original one. Saying this as a metal head.
