Normally I love your articles JFrater, because they are well researched, well written, and normally very tasteful.

However, seeing “Anorexia, anyone” in your Diet Product section made my blood bowel. You don’t ‘become’ anorexic because of one product, and anorexia is NOT a diet. I assumed you would know that. For shame, Jamie.

I’m not sure if I can continue reading, unless you take out that pointless little interjection. When I wan’t those, I go to Cracked

There is one primary benefit to bottled water though, so you are (partially) mistaken on this one…. I say partially because the benefit is only if you buy SPRING water. By buying spring water, you are consuming non-chlorinated water that has also not had fluoride added to it. And as anyone who does the research knows, fluoride is really a poison (scraped from the smoke stacks of aluminum factories). There are extremely high levels of fluoride in tap water. Spring Water is the only bottled water that has NONE added and doesn’t come from tap. It may however have the levels of fluoride found NATURALLY in water of course.

If you are coughing up phlegm, a bacterial infection is likely and a doctor should be consulted. Please avoid telling people to use concoctions like egg white mixtures. I’m not advocating antibiotics – these should be taken when absolutely necessary but coughing up phlegm could exacerbate into something serious (pnemonia). I totally agree however that cough mixtures are absolutely useless. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN.

Gears will be ground! Like the that straight razor referred to on this list! But seriously while bottled water is great in developing countries like Afghanistan, I see no need for it in any first world country. And I agree why Diet products, ab machines, and the Sleeping Pills for kids are on there, the order should be: (from #1 Worst to #10 less bad) Sleeping pills for Kids; Diet products; ab machines; Self Help books; Cough Mixtures; Sugared Cereals; Disposable Eating Implements; bottled water; Microwaves; and leastly Disposable Razors.
