I spent the first ten years of my life daily inhaling my dad’s cigarette smoke (after that we moved and my mother made him smoke outside so it wasn’t so bad), but I can’t help wonder…can a child breathing second hand smoke become a nicotine addict? And what the heck would all those awful chemicals do to a developing brain? I’m thinking it can’t be good.

Tobacco causes premature aging and can shorten the life span of a human by as much as fourteen years. Tobacco contains arsenic which is in rat poison, rubber cement, and Hydrogen Cyanide which was used in gas chambers. How can something that contains so many bad ingredients not be illegal? ***** is illegal and it contains no un-natural substances, while tobacco is legal and contains dozens of poisons, glues, and cleaners. I believe people are seriously underestimating the dangers of tobacco, while they overestimate the dangers of other things. Im not under minding that the other things are dangerous too, but did you know that while two hundred and forty thousand people die from smoking a year, only eighty one thousand die from alcohol? Thats a difference of one hundred and fifty nine thousand people.

I’ve never understood the attraction of sucking burnt plant matter into one’s lungs. It makes no sense.
Cigarette advertising is banned in most countries but there’s hardly a Hollywood movie without at least one of the main characters smoking in it… I wonder how much the industry earns from this subliminal advertising.
Bans on smoking in public areas are mostly ignored here and there are very few places you can go without breathing second-hand smoke.
In the high schools in the country where I work there are teenagers in the school yard hanging round smoking in full view of both the teachers and younger students and nobody gives a damn… and they all think it’s so cool. I wonder if they’ll still think it’s cool if they’re dying of lung cancer after 30 years of smoking and their kids are changing their diapers for them
