John V Karavitis I agree with everyone who has mentioned “global warming”" here. Actually, it would be correctly stated as the anthropogenic basis of global warming has been debunked, that is, that Man could somehow ever control the climate. The Sun controls the climate. During periods of high solar activity, the solar wind pushes away high-energy particles that would have caused clouds to form, and thus reflected away a lot of the Sun’s heat. Seriously, THAT is the main mechanism driving climate on Earth. A second is, of course, how the Earth’s orbit around the Sun changes periodically, and a third is the precession of the Earth. And yes, it is my opinion that Al Gore is a fraud, and that he would be better spending his time chasing after ManBearPig on “South Park”. John Karavitis, John V Karavitis

Grow up. Evolution is fact. In the old days, we observed it among fruit flies in laboratory conditions using the bottleneck effect. Now we use it to predict viral mutation and develop vaccines. The fossil record shows dozens of forms between modern humans and the ancestors of modern apes. We know that they and we came from the same creature. We’ve sequenced the human genome. We’ve sequenced the genomes of other animals. We’ve seen firsthand the huge similarities. We… screw it, I know this stuff. I’ve actually studied it and sequenced DNA. You can go ahead and believe the Earth is flat for all I care.

Of course the expectant mother’s thoughts aren’t the whole story. It’s the hormones that result from those thoughts that affect the fetus.

In other news, trolls like Dev can stuff it. Anthropogenic climate change is occurring. The vast majority of the scientific establishment in every country on Earth agrees. You’d have to believe in a vast global conspiracy among mortal enemies to argue that it is a hoax. Only in the United States is there any “debate” anymore; the real debate already happened and ended decades ago.

Lol Global warming is a con and Al Gore has already been criticized for “*****ing” up data!

Add this to the falsifying of data supplied to the UN and numerous quotes from leading Scientists saying it does not pay to stand up against Global Warming, along with the 17,000 signatures of a petition circulated via the Oregan Institute of Science and Medicine saying there is no conclusive proof of Global warming created by man made activities.

I would think twice before using Al Gore as a defense

Although we know now that the earth is not the center of the universe, if there are no life forms other than man on earth, might it well be considered that doing for mankind on the earth in the only thing important to humanity, and therefore, he is the center of the universe because no other life exists?

Very cool list… learned a lot, but I would think to include the Steady State theory, which was the major opposing theory to the Big Bang theory in the twentieth century. It argued that the universe was largely static, had been in existence forever and would go on existing forever, and it sometimes argued that matter was being created somewhere (a direct contradiction to the first law of thermodynamics, which was well established by that point). The steady state theory was abandoned as evidence for the big Bang piled up.
