And these stories represent the world? If i were to run my company based soley on the hype of the news media, the internet and the people who read these stories i would be out of business. i try to make business decisions based on verifiable statistics. maybe this thread ks the reason this country is falling behind.

Number 1 on your list, Stella Liebeck, received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns to her thighs and genital area, resulting multiple skin grafts.

I’ve seen the pictures of her injuries in an interview done with her, and anyone who needs skin grafts as a result of spilled coffee rightly deserves compensation.

Anything that is hot enough to literally burn the skin off of your legs, imagine what would happen to your mouth, throat and stomach? I’d imagine death is a huge possibility.

A little bit of research goes a long way. Remember, the medias foremost job is to make money, actual and accurate news is second.

The mcdonalds one was not stupid. You should google her burns. It was really bad. mcdonalds tried covering up how bad it really was i guess it worked. Look up the real story on it. They had tons of complaints and people were getting severe burns from it she was just just the first one to sue. She almost died from this. The coffee was turned up way to high.

And, unbelievably, there will be a large number of people who see nothing frivolous about these lawlsuits. And so undeserving people will continue to file these types of lawsuits and collect unwarranted awards. And, as a result, costs will continue to rise. It’s always John Q Public who ends up footing the bill at the end of the day in increased premiums, costs, taxes, etc.
